Today this time last year, an awesome move of God started at Asbury University from a simple chapel service on their campus that didn’t end and kept going 17 days straight:
The 2023 Asbury revival was a Christian revival at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. The revival was sparked by students spontaneously staying in Hughes Auditorium following a regularly scheduled chapel service on February 8, 2023. Following the gathering, Asbury President Kevin Brown sent out a brief two-sentence email: "There's worship happening in Hughes. You're welcome to join." The news of the phenomenon quickly spread through social media and in Christian online publications. The revival has been compared to similar revivals at Asbury, notably one that took place in 1970, which had far-reaching consequences in Methodism, culture of the United States, and the growth of the Jesus movement. Notably, news of the revival largely spread on social media, as the participants were mainly members of Generation Z. It was attended by approximately 15,000 people each day. By its end, the revival brought 50,000–70,000 visitors to Wilmore, representing more than 200 academic institutions and multiple countries.
I was very blessed by the Lord to be able to make it to the Revival the weekend of 02/17/2023 - 02/18/203 with my friends Tate Hipps and Daniel Shaw and this memory today has really encouraged me! We drove up there the Friday night before on 02/17/2023 spending the evening at a hotel in Lexington, Kentucky and then early the next morning around 6 am we arrived at the university to find the line to the Hughes auditorium had already formed as they weren’t letting people in until around 12 pm that day due to staffing as they had been going 24/7 since February 8, 2023 and needed to give their workers a really needed rest break. While waiting in line for the 6 hours, Holy Spirit supernaturally both encouraged and embolden me to pray with at least 20+ people I just met bringing their needs before Father’s throne while also having words of prophecy for others confirming to them that the Lord still speaks today and uses strangers, like myself, to confirm he both knows and really cares about their personal situation, what they’re going through, and is working it out for their good - What an awesome God we serve!
On the following Sunday, February 19, 2023 once back home in Birmingham, I had the privilege of attending another spontaneous Revival at Samford University, where the presence of the Lord was both equally tangible and strong as at the Asbury Revival. Once again, empowered by Holy Spirit, I prayed with over 10 men, believing that both every prayer counts and so does every specific need! Reflecting over my time at college, I sincerely wish there had been someone reach out to me with specific prayer as I didn’t give my life fully over to Jesus until the end of 2016 and so this is my only motivation to both reach out and give away His life, joy, peace, and purpose to those looking for it!
Revival represents a genuine spiritual awakening, which is the transformative change that America desperately needs. It stands as the only answer, as all other attempts have proven futile and unsustainable - I’m praying for and believing we will see Revival again in a greater measure sweep across America turning millions back to Jesus in true repentance from their sins!

Weekly update:
Tuesday 02/06/2024: I had to reschedule my appointment with the GI doctor in Decatur due to having a pressure headache that started around 5 am that morning. Usually that type of headache wouldn’t bother me, but because of everything going on with my health right now I decided to wait and get in contact a nurse practitioner at CCI explaining my symptoms just to make sure I wasn’t at risk for something else like a seizure. After prayer, extra rest, my morning medication, a good breakfast, and talking with the CCI nurse following her advice, the headache eventually dissipated.
Wednesday 02/07/2024: The Lord sent a real genuine reprieve for my heart beating faster than normal (Thanks everyone for the prayers on that!) as it went back to normal and so I was able get out and do some things with my Dad that morning which included getting my driver’s license renewed, going to both Kroger & Walmart, and dining in for a breakfast omelet at Little Rosie’s. Later in the day, I did a lap of walking around my parents neighborhood with my Mom and then we went and got Jim ‘N Nicks for lunch, so it was a really good day and I’m really thankful for the small wins! This was also a real blessing as it was good to get out and about more. My health is something I really took for granted before 09/28/2023 along with being really thankful for just a good nights rest and not having to take medication - If you’ve got really good health, thank the Father for it as he’s really blessed you!
Thursday 02/08/2024: Took most of the morning up until lunch to rest and then went with my Dad to Faith Chapel around 1 pm for a time of prayer with Aaron and Pastor Hank Mays. Again, I humbled myself and begged the Lord for his supernatural healing miracle over brain cancer as outlined in Luke 11:5-10 and also received prayer from my Dad, Aaron, and Pastor Hank; it was a really good time of prayer and really needed for myself! Afterwards, I went with my Dad to Walmart for groceries and got some walking in.
Prayer points:
Tomorrow (02/09/2024), I have an MRI scheduled at Clearview Cancer Institute to find out where the cancer and brain inflammation are at; I would really appreciate your prayers on this as last time they took an MRI at Huntsville Hospital the cancer doctors there said it was inconclusive because of how it looked so I’m hoping this time, about a month later, the doctors at CCI will be able to see something more conclusive in their report we’ll go over on 02/12/2024.
A supernatural healing miracle from the Father over brain cancer.
Really good rest at night.
Continuing to stand in faith for my full healing as promised by Father no matter what the MRI results show - I’m a weak person but would rather ask for all the help I can get than have my faith collapse. Give me more faith and endurance Lord!
